1. In this first photo I skipped the masking, layout, drawing and
cutting. After that I went directly to the spraying the freehand airbrush part of
the eagle
2. Freehand the black for eyes and beak detail and then add a little
pink for the tongue and white highlights. Next add a little purple and gray to add
depth to the painting.
3. Before unmasking add a white dot and white highlights, see how
well you've done and if you're satisfied.......
4. go to freehand highlighting the details of the eyes and beak. I
do this by using black basecoat thinned only with retarder as my paint. Do not thin
unless necessary and sparingly if you do.
5. Let dry for 30 minutes and remask. Then cut the mask in the shape
of an unfurled banner. It's hard to see in this photo. (look at last photo,
no.8)
6. Spray a bright red orange color for the banner and get ready for
some more freehand painting. If you can't do it freehand.......try anyway.
7. Spray orange letters then highlight with a little white. Also spray
a little orange for the depth of the banner and use a brown for the shadowing as
in the photo. (It's a little out of focus but you can still get the idea.)

8. This is the finished eagle before clearcoating.

9. THIS IS IT! THE FINISHED TANK
I HOPE
YOU'LL HAVE AS MUCH FUN DOING THIS AS I DID!
